Everyone is so open and friendly.  Lovely warm feeling in the group - women supporting women.

I felt able to be completely honest about how I'm feeling and the things I have been struggling with.

Mums Matter Peer Support Groups

As a result of the course, some previous attendees and the volunteers who help with the course have started peer support groups. The groups are open to anyone who has already completed the Mums Matter course.

Powys Volunteer of the Year Awards
The eleventh annual Powys Volunteer of the Year Awards took place on the 23rd March 2023 in Newtown. The celebration of volunteering was attended by volunteers and guests from around the county and was organised by Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO) in partnership with Tom Jones OBE, High Sheriff of Powys.

The celebration event helps to demonstrate the value placed on the work undertaken by volunteers. It encourages them to continue to inspire others to take up a cause in a society where volunteers are playing an ever increasing and ever more necessary role. We are very proud to announce that our Mums Matter peer support group volunteers won the award for excellence in Health and Wellbeing!
