Open Day Success

Huge thanks to everyone who came to our grand opening on Friday 28th November.  It was great to see so many faces.  After a lovely lunch, supplied by Lakeside Cafe, including personalised cupcakes, our new building was official opened by Jake Berriman, leader of Powys County Council.

Next, we introduced Kallika Bruce from Breathe Studio who will be opening her new health and wellbeing centre at the Dance Centre in the new year.

Following on, Mary gave us a summary of the past year at Mid & North Powys Mind including our impact summary and led a feedback session with attendees.

To finish the afternoon, we had workshops in craft, yoga and relaxation.

Special thanks to our staff and volunteers, as well as to Lakeside Cafe for making the opening day such a special one.

It was both exciting and deeply moving to be able to introduce people to our new building in Arlais Road, right in the heart of Llandrindod. To know it will provide a welcoming and 'fit for purpose' space to support people’s mental health for many years to come is really a testament to our staff, volunteers and the faith our funders have in our services. Working alongside our statutory partners, we hope to improve people's lives in mid and north Powys with our wide range of services and continue to reach into our communities to give people what they need to support their mental health and wellbeing.
