About Mums Matter
Our Mums Matter courses are 8 weekly sessions delivered in-person and online by facilitator Tracy Lewis. They are for new Mums who are feeling low or anxious or overwhelmed by motherhood.
They take place in a relaxed and friendly environment and a creche is provided for your babies/children to give you the space and time you need to work through different themes, gain tools and skills to help you feel your self again.
They meet for 2 hours a week, and Tracy is helped by a volunteer who has been through the Mums Matter course before.
Mums Matter has been a fantastic success in Powys, with many mums benefiting from attending, from those with low anxieties and concerns to those with postnatal depression, all mums have found the course to be helpful and have used the tools to help them in daily parenting.

About Mums Matter
In between all the hard stuff, Tracy's presentation kept it 'light' and fun, even between the tears we were laughing. Most 'listened to' and 'accepted' I've felt in a long time.

Helped by a mental health support service for mums run by the charity Mind, Bethanie Powell managed to climb out of the darkness, and is now helping others in a similar position.
Just before Christmas 2025, The Mirror newspaper visited one of Mums Matter’s peer support groups to talk to Tracy and Bethanie about the success of Mums Matter in mid and north Powys.
